HOW THE EVENT STARTED AND WHAT IT'S GROWN INTO:

Tee it Up to Fight Cancer began in honour of Brett Seabrook, a former superintendent at the Canadian (and member of the Seabrook family). Brett unfortunately lost his battle with cancer in 2017 and what started as a tribute has grown into an event that honours not only his memory, but also the countless individuals and families touched by cancer in our community.

With over $110,000 raised to date, this tournament continues to support world-class cancer research and care at The Ottawa Hospital. Every day, an estimated 677 Canadians hear the words “you have cancer,” and funds raised through this event help accelerate lifesaving research and treatments that give patients a better chance at recovery.
